Everyone seen the PT Cruiser driving around town or on the highway by now. I decided to pick one up for my daily commute (37 miles each way) in Northern California. The new arrival allows me to give the 2000 Tahoe a rest before it is driven into the ground and starts to have issues. I used the online resources of Edmunds.com to research the 2004 PT Crusier and bought via the fleet manager at the local Chrysler dealer who got the referral online.
My choice was for a base model in Inferno Red with the automatic transmission as the only option. But I ended up with the deep tinted windows, upgraded CD/cassette stereo, and rear spoiler as additional options because the model I had ordered had a paint defect when I went to pick it up and this one was available. I ended up paying $250 for the three additional options which I thought was very fair.
The photo at the right is my PT on her first day home. I hope to capture the modifications to this fairly basic PT over then next few years in this website as well as any adventures worthy of documenting..
